I went out for dinner last night as my dad is leaving my family's house after staying here for a month since leaving New Zealand on his way to Africa.

The restaurant bill came to $230 Australian Dollars or about $180 Yankee.

As everyone was finishing off their conversations I casually slipped my 1OZ US GOLD Buffalo from my wallet and dropped it onto the tray holding the bill.

Before the waitress could come back my family was all in awe of this beautiful coin in place of where my VISA card usually is.

Needless to say they were all so keen to say don't do that it is too precious (of course they are right) and put it away.

I then pounced on the coin and made the very GOLDBUGGIE point that this 1 coin would pay for the meal many times over...NO ONE disagreed and everyone was impressed.

It is great being a Goldbug :s9:

I'm glad the waiter didn't get back too quickly and say, "sorry sir, you're going to need to pony up several more of those coins to meet the full price of the dinner." Cool lesson to teach your dinnermates, Kiwi. I'm too scared to carry an ounce of gold on me for fear of losing it! :D

Mount a Buffalo on a 14K money clip. I tried 18K but it was to soft, lost it's "spring".
